THE DESCENT
Seventy-eight relics rest in the observatory deck: relic value v appears exactly v times (one 1, two 2s, … twelve 12s). You stake a bet and press BEGIN DESCENT — then simply watch.
New relic (a value not yet held): it joins your collection and adds value × ladder rung to the pot.
Repeat relic (a value already held): BUST — the bet and the pot are lost.
Before the first card is revealed, the fates secretly choose a bank rung (1–12). If your collection reaches that many unique relics first, the game banks automatically and the pot is yours.
There are no decisions during a round — no draw button, no bank button. The reveal pacing is pure theater and cannot change the outcome.
